Eve was born in Sudbury, raised in Hamilton, educated in London, built her first home in Mississauga, and now lives in Oakville. Eve enjoys hockey, canoeing, hiking and above all, spending time with her family and her neighbours. As a daughter of European immigrants, Eve grew up in a multilingual household.

For over seven years, Eve was a Councillor for the City of Mississauga and Region of Peel, home to over 1.25 million people and Canada’s sixth largest city. During this time, Eve was elected to serve on a number of important posts such as Chair of the Management Committee (oversight on a $1.6 Billion budget, $1.1 Billion direct), Chair of the Audit Committee, Director of the Living Arts Centre and Director of the Public Reporter, Enersource Corporation.

For over eight years Eve served in the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Citizenship and Ministry of Energy, Science and Technology and went on to become the Executive Director of an accounting association in Canada and the United States.

Active, hardworking, and dedicated to her community, Eve has served on the Board of Directors of the Red Cross and volunteered with many community groups including Neighbourhood Watch and the Terry Fox Run for over two decades. She was honoured to work with Terry Fox’s brother, Darrell, to bring Terry’s van to her community. Eve brings both her business and political background to Parliament in support of economic development in the GTA and across Canada.

Eve’s extensive experience in public and community service have positioned her well to serve the needs and interests of our community and to become a very strong voice on Parliament Hill. She served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health before joining the Liberal Caucus in February 2015.

My name is Rachel Nadar I was at your office for some assistance with the unemployment service, after getting the running around with that service and no result. Dear Eve Adams,

This letter is regarding your help with my immigration case for my husband. I wanted to send you a thank you letter because I was very moved by your commitment to serve your community. I remember 3 years ago you came to my door at that time I did not know who my MP was for my area, you told me if I ever needed help with anything to feel free to contact your office and you would be more than willing to help.

I wanted to say thank you because being a single mother for two young boys is very hard, and it was even harder not having their father here with us. I appreciate that you were there every step of the way keeping me informed, and called back every time I called your office.

My husband arrived on Christmas Eve it is the first holiday we have spent as a family. We owe it to you, your commitment, dedication, and persistence to serve brought us that miracle. From my family we wish that you serve your community for years to come, because you are making a huge difference. I cannot speak for many in the government but you have renewed my faith and hope in our system. I would vote for you every time there is an election because you are a woman of your word.

Dear Eve,

My husband and I have moved several times for work during out careers, living in 3 countries – England, Singapore and the United States. We enjoyed the travel and learning how to live in other cultures.

When we returned to Canada and it was time to apply for Old Age Security Benefits we were shocked by the difficulty we faced. We were asked to produce documentation from over 30 years ago. Moving to another country means shedding all “stuff” that is not absolutely necessary like plane tickets and old passports.

After trying to navigate the waters for 2 months we turned to your office for help. The pain went away immediately. With your guidance we were able to work productively with the Ministry and resolved the issue with lightning speed. We are now receiving our Old Age Security Benefits monthly and thank you again with every cheque.

Keep up the good work.

Dear Ms. Adams,

On behalf of my husband and I, I’m writing to thanks you for everything you have done with helping me with my maternity benefit. Without you I would have been lost. Your office staff were also very helpful with filling out my application. Thanks again I really appreciate your time and effort.

Dear Mrs. Adams,

I would like to thank you for your letter regarding a visitor visa for my father. My father could not get a visitor visa for years and with your help he was finally granted one. I would also like to praise your team, I have had nothing but kindness and efficiency from your office.

Once again, thank you for your help and support.

I am one of your long-time supporters since Day 1. I had a city issue this past weekend regarding snow removal and my shrubs. I contacted my local councillor regarding the issue and received no help. As a result, I popped by your constituency office and spoke with your team to see if they could help. They informed me that you would take care of the issue by making a call for assistance. I want to personally thank you for your help. I am so fortunate to have you as my representative, my issue was resolved last night and the snow is now cleared.

I just wanted to send a brief message to thank you so much for the amazing support and direction my family has received from you. You have made, and continue to make a tremendous impact on my life, and for that I will be forever grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thanks for all the information. It is good to know that someone really cares.

I am very proud to have a MP like you who represents us from Mississauga-Brampton South. Today you have truly made us very happy with the amount of caring and responsibility your office has taken to get my sister the visitor visa from New Delhi. Every time I walk into your office I am greeted with positive energy. You have gone above and beyond to attend to our issue. We cannot expect anything beyond this. For what you and your office have done, you truly deserve a huge compliment. I wish you are our MP for very long time.
